Making Metal Discs (Hands-On)
One of the best ways to emotionally engage a potential student is to physically engage them. Unless a person has grown up around metal, they have no concept of how metal feels or behaves. Simple hands-on activities can light a fire where before there was only a bit of heat.
This hands-on activity is inexpensive, quick, and allows the prospective student to walk away with something tangible. It's a terrific activity to set up at a table during an open-house, or to pull out in-the-moment if a prospective student approaches you with questions.
